Since March 2008, Tobias Ragge has been CEO in second generation of the family business founded in 1972. Previously, he joined HRS as assistant to the management in 2004 and took over the marketing management in 2005.
Tobias Ragge continues to drive the expansion of the HRS Group as the global market leader for business travel and strategically further develops the individual business areas. In the portal business, HRS, whose portfolio also includes HOTEL.DE, is one of the top 3 hotel booking portals for business travelers in Europe. In addition, Ragge has established an independent business unit called HRS Global Hotel Solutions, which, as a global outsourcing partner, provides services to multinational corporations around business hotel bookings.
Tobias Ragge studied International Business Administration at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. After graduating with a diploma in business administration, he started his professional career in 2002 at Europe's leading airline, Deutsche Lufthansa AG. He worked in Lufthansa Passenger Airlines in the fields of CRM and corporate strategy and at Lufthansa Cargo in the area of Allianz Management in Atlanta, USA.
He is a recognized speaker at global conferences and was named "Travel Industry Manager 2012" by the prestigious Travel Industry Club in 2012. In 2018, HSMAI Europe (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) honored him as one of the top 20 hospitality industry leaders in Europe. In December 2018, Tobias Ragge was named BTN Group's 25th most influential leader in the Business Travel Industry for the third year in a row. The BTN Group is the leading provider of news and information to the business travel industry.
Mr. Wu Chen is the Managing Director of TheEconomist Global Business Review based in Shanghai. Prior to that, he was theHead of Editorial (Asia Pacific), EuroFinance, The Economist Group. He has beenthe Editor of CFO China from 2005 to 2009. In his journalism career, he hasworked for BusinessWeek in Hong Kong, Bloomberg News in Singapore, and theinternational news department of Xinhua (New China) News Agency in Beijing.
Mr. Wu has awide range of research interests. He follows closely the latest development inmacro economy, global trends and the best practices in corporate management innovation.Recently Mr. Wu is studying on the issue of “Crossroad”, covering thetrans-boundary topics of business, technology and society. For example, whatchanges artificial intelligence have brought to business process, how thetechnology could improve the management. He aims to provide forward-lookingvisions via his research.
Mr. Wu holds the Master of Pacific InternationalAffairs degree from School of International Relations and Pacific Studies(IR/PS), University of California, San Diego and the Master of Journalism fromE. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. He earned his B.A. fromBeijing Foreign Studies University.
As an illustration of journalistic achievement, Mr.Wu’s story on the problems involved in the process of manufacturing sectortransformation in July 2008 won the Society of Asia Publishers ExcellenceAwards for Business Reporting (2009).
